The hotel owners were extremely hospitable and we were made to feel very welcome along with our dog, Sam who loved his holiday! The choice and standard of cuisine was incredible. Highly recommended!

The hotel and room was comfortable with modern facilities while maintaining the character of the property's period. The food was beautifully presented and did not fail on taste. The staff are friendly and attentive without been over bearing. Requests were responded to immediately. It's location is perfect as a base to explore the local area and southern Wales. Ross-on-Wye centre is only 15 minutes walk away.
The creaking floor boards (when going to the bathroom at night) but this is part if its charm and character.

The hotel was extremely comfy and the food was all home cooked and excellent, one can certainly understand why it has 2 rosettes. The staff were very pleasant. I will certainly recommend to our friends.

Dinner was very good - well presented and very tasty - reflecting the restaurant with rooms description
The sheet didn't fit the bed - bed not interior sprung and creaked - shower uneven heat and weak - running the bath meant basin taps stopped working - breakfast not as good as dinner

Welcoming helpful staff, quality interiors, and excellent breakfast.
Bathroom rather cramped and shower rather feeble, but these are small points and no big deal!

Very clean and comfortable; nice to have crisp white sheets instead of a duvet. Food was very good, a bit of a luxury. Location is very beautiful.

Restaurant and breakfast was nice. Staff very helpfull and friendly.
The room and ensuite were very small. The roomrate is a little expensive considering the limited facilities. The hotel is nice and quaint but overated at five star . Should be 4* max.

We consider the price of the room per night with breakfast, at £165 to be excessive given the quality of the room and limited hotel facilities..we would not recommend this hotel due to cost.
